Questions about plans
What counts as an active contact?
A unique person who received at least one DM from your Cookping account in a calendar month, whether or not they follow you. Ten recipes to the same person still count once, only successful sends count, and the counter resets at the start of each month.
What happens when I hit the limit?
People you already messaged this month keep receiving replies; comments from new people are matched but their delivery is skipped and recorded, so Analytics shows what the limit cost you. The dashboard warns you — and emails you — at 80% and again at 100%.
How does getting paid for a book work?
Buyers pay on your own Polar account. Polar takes the payment, collects any tax, sends the receipt and the PDF, and pays you out on its own schedule. Cookping never touches the money and takes no commission. Publishing and selling books needs a paid plan.
Can I change plan later?
Any time, up or down, from the billing portal in Settings. A paid plan stays active through the period you have already paid for, and nothing you published disappears when you move down — allowances simply apply again the next time you publish.
