Plans & limits

Cookping plans are priced by active contacts — the number of unique followers your account sends recipes to each calendar month. Recipes are unlimited on every paid plan, so your back-catalog keeps delivering without plan math.

What counts as an active contact

• An active contact is a unique follower who receives at least one DM from your connected account during a calendar month.
• A follower already messaged this month never counts twice — follow-up messages, button taps, and repeat recipe requests are free.
• Only successful sends count. A skipped or failed delivery doesn't consume a slot.
• The count resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC).

Plans

• Free — $0. 25 active contacts/month, 5 recipes, 5 active automations.
• Starter — $9/month billed yearly ($14 billed monthly). 500 active contacts/month, unlimited recipes.
• Creator — $19/month billed yearly ($24 billed monthly). 2,500 active contacts/month, unlimited recipes, email capture.
• Pro — $49/month billed yearly ($59 billed monthly). 10,000 active contacts/month, unlimited recipes, advanced analytics.
• Studio — $99/month billed yearly ($129 billed monthly). 40,000 active contacts/month, unlimited recipes, advanced analytics.

"Unlimited" recipes and automations on paid plans carry a fair-use safeguard of 1,000 each — far beyond normal usage; it exists only to prevent abuse.

What happens at the contact limit

You're never surprised by the limit:

• At 80% of the allowance, a warning banner appears across your dashboard and you receive an email alert.
• At 100%, the banner escalates and a second email tells you new followers are no longer receiving recipes.
• Each alert is sent at most once per month.

When a month's active-contact allowance is used up:

• Followers you already messaged this month keep receiving replies — their slot is spent, so ongoing conversations (including follow-gate steps) are never cut off.
• A comment from a new follower is matched but its delivery is skipped and recorded — the Analytics page shows a "Missed" tile counting exactly what the limit cost you.
• The allowance resets at the start of the next month, or immediately when you upgrade.

Your current usage is always visible in the dashboard sidebar and on the Settings page.

AI recipe imports

Drafting recipes with AI (pasting text or an Instagram link on the recipe create page) has a monthly allowance per plan, because each import runs an LLM call:

• Free — 5 imports/month.
• Starter — 20 imports/month.
• Creator — 50 imports/month.
• Pro — 100 imports/month.
• Studio — 200 imports/month.

Under normal usage these allowances are effectively invisible. If you do reach one, the recipe create page explains that you can upgrade your plan or wait until the allowance resets next month — creating recipes manually is never limited by it.
