FAQ
What is Cookping?
Cookping is a recipe hub and Instagram comment-to-DM assistant for food creators. You publish mobile-first recipe pages and Cookping sends eligible recipe replies when a follower comments your keyword on a post or Reel.
How does the comment automation work?
You pick an Instagram post or Reel and a trigger keyword such as “recette”. When a follower comments that keyword, Cookping matches it and sends the configured recipe link through Instagram messaging only when Meta's messaging rules allow it.
Will followers get spammed?
No. Cookping keeps an idempotency record per automation, comment, and Instagram user, so each follower is messaged once even if Meta delivers a webhook more than once. Cookping also enforces Instagram's 24-hour messaging window automatically.
What is follow-gating?
Optionally, Cookping can ask a follower to follow you before the recipe link is sent, using Instagram's follow-status profile check. If they don't follow yet, they receive a polite follow request instead.
What do the recipe pages include?
Each published recipe gets a fast, mobile-first page with cover image, description, ingredients, steps, times, servings, difficulty, tags, notes, and an optional email capture — no follower account required.
How does billing work?
Plans are priced by active contacts — the number of unique followers you send recipes to each month. The Free plan includes 25 active contacts and 5 recipes; paid plans start at $9/month (billed yearly) with unlimited recipes and allowances from 500 to 40,000 active contacts per month.
What is an active contact?
An active contact is a unique follower who receives at least one DM from your account in a calendar month. Someone already messaged this month never counts twice, no matter how many recipes they request, and the count resets at the start of each month.
