FAQ
What is Cookping?
Cookping is a recipe hub and Instagram comment-to-DM assistant for food creators. You publish mobile-first recipe pages, and when a follower comments your keyword on a post or Reel, Cookping sends them the recipe in a DM, within Instagram's messaging rules.
How does the comment automation work?
You pick a post or Reel and a trigger keyword such as “recipe”. When a follower comments that word, Cookping replies and sends them the recipe link in a DM. It only sends when Instagram's messaging rules allow it, so nobody gets a message they did not ask for.
Will followers get spammed?
No. Each follower gets one reply per comment, even if Instagram reports the same comment to us twice. Cookping also never sends a message outside Instagram's 24-hour reply window: a late reply is dropped, not sent.
Can I ask people to follow me before they get the recipe?
Yes, and it's optional. Turn on follow-gating and Cookping checks whether the person follows you before sending the recipe. If they don't yet, they get a friendly message asking them to follow first.
What do the recipe pages include?
Each published recipe gets a fast, mobile-first page with cover image, description, ingredients, steps, times, servings, difficulty, tags, and notes. Your followers never need an account to read it.
How does billing work?
Plans are priced by active contacts — the number of unique people you send recipes to each month, followers or not. The Free plan includes 50 active contacts and 5 published recipes (drafts are unlimited); paid plans start at €11.90/month (billed yearly) with unlimited recipes and allowances from 500 to 40,000 active contacts per month.
What is an active contact?
An active contact is a unique person who receives at least one DM from your Cookping account in a calendar month, whether or not they follow you. Someone already messaged this month never counts twice, no matter how many recipes they request, and the count resets at the start of each month.
